Su esposo encontr\u00f3 al ni\u00f1o reci\u00e9n nacido (abandonado por su madre la reina Kunt\u00ed en un canasto en el r\u00edo Ganges). \u00c1dhiratha y Radha lo adoptaron como hijo y lo llamaron Karna (porque lo encontraron con aretes de oro en las orejas).<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En su adultez era conocido como S\u016bt\u00e1 Putra o S\u016bt\u00e1ya (hijo de un s\u016bt\u00e1), como V\u00e1sushena (que distribuye riquezas de manera liberal) y a veces como R\u0101dheia (hijo de R\u0101dh\u0101).<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Notas\nUn s\u016bt\u00e1 es el hijo de una br\u00e1hmani (hija de un br\u00e1hmana) y un kshatr\u00eda (guerrero), o de una kshatr\u00eda (hija de un guerrero) y un br\u00e1hmana (sacerdote hinduista).
