Dr. Richard Alpert (Boston, 5 de abril de 1931) tambi\u00e9n conocido como Baba Ram Dass (\u092c\u093e\u092c\u093e \u0930\u093e\u092e \u0926\u093e\u0938) es un maestro espiritual contempor\u00e1neo que escribi\u00f3 en 1971 el afamado libro Be Here Now. Es bien conocido por su asociaci\u00f3n con Timothy Leary en la Universidad de Harvard en los primeros a\u00f1os de la d\u00e9cada de 1960. Ambos fueron despedidos de sus puestos como profesores por experimentar los efectos de las drogas psicod\u00e9licas con humanos (en este caso estudiantes de la propia universidad). Tambi\u00e9n es conocido por sus viajes a la India y su asociaci\u00f3n con el gur\u00fa hind\u00fa Neem Karoli Baba.
